About
About Craft Fair Okinawa
Craft Fair Okinawa began in 2012, launched by craft artists based in Nanjo City with the goal of “sharing creations directly from the makers.”
Thanks to the support of many visitors, the event now attracts around 10,000 attendees each year and continues to grow in popularity.
Every year, professional artisans from both inside and outside Okinawa gather to exhibit and sell their works, while also sharing the unique appeal and culture of the region.
A wide variety of genres participate—pottery, woodwork, glass, lacquerware, dyeing & weaving, leather, accessories, audio equipment, musical instruments, art, crafts, food and more.
Workshops, hands-on experiences, and food booths from popular local shops also make this a lively event for families.
We also embrace the theme of “connecting culture and local industry,” offering training programs for young creators and supporting the preservation of traditional culture.
By deepening the connection between makers and visitors, we aim to create a space that goes beyond a simple sales event—one that contributes to the future of Okinawan craft culture.
